Let’s make your browser cool and awesome

  1. Open the Chrome browser and go to the New Tab Page
  2. Click the pen(customize) looking icon at the bottom to open the new customize page
  3. When that opens, select Color and Theme
  4. You’ll be able to choose your own colors for the browser from Google’s offerings, as you can see I’ve chosen a nice and lovely shade of red.
  5. If you aren’t satisfied with those, you can also select your own custom colors. ( the UI here does leave a lot to be desired. )
  6. You also have the option of choosing a background photo, either from one of Google’s standard library or from your own locally saved images.

With Google’s new customization option, building out Chrome to be a browser that looks exactly how you want it is easier than ever. Microsoft’s new Edge browser doesn’t yet have the same feature, but with Firefox and Chrome both offering advanced customization, the ball’s in Redmond’s court.
